Week 1 DONE! Please read!!!

Crocs Swimmers/Families,

We have officially completed our first week of the season!  As a reminder, no practice today!  We will have practice for all age groups Mon-Wed next week.  Great job to all our swimmers and coaches!

We have a few things that need to be covered as we move into the second week.

*We will be having a time trial during Wednesday's practice.  Coaches would like to have times for all of our swimmers so that they can start planning for our first meet.  If you are a parent and will be at practice, we would love help timing!

*Floie has set up a remind101 for the team to receive text alerts.  She will use this for weather alerts/delays and any communication that needs to be communicated immediately.  To subscribe, please do the following:  send a text to the number "81010".  In the message, type "@crocssw".  Once sent, you will receive a confirmation welcome text.

*As a reminder, the coaches have requested for all parents to remain in the pergola/baby pool area during all practices(especially the younger age groups).

*Baby pool usage:  Please note that we do not have lifeguards during afternoon practices.  It's fine for your little swimmers to be in the baby pool during practices; however, we ask that you keep a close watch on your children.

*Volleyball and tennis courts:  The tennis courts are not to be used by swimmers during practice or meets.  Please make sure your children are aware that courts are not for play time.  If children will be playing on the volleyball court, hanging from the net and throwing sand is strictly forbidden.  Additionally, if swimmers are in the sand before practice, they must rinse off prior to getting in the baby pool or big pool.  The pools are not to be used for rinsing sand off.  We have a hose down by the volleyball court for rinsing off.  Children not obeying tennis court or volleyball rules will be asked to leave the area immediately.

*Pool gates are not to be propped open at any time.  I know that a lot of you don't have pool entrance keys, and it can be a pain getting inside the pool area; please understand that safety is a major concern, and gates must remain closed at all times.

*Lastly, our meet schedule is on our site, and we'd like for all swimmers to begin RSVP'ing.  We are in the process of putting together our volunteer schedule and need to know dates everyone will be out from meets.  To RSVP for a meet, please go to: https://cambridgecrocs.swimtopia.com/, click on "meets and events".  You will see our full summer schedule(including TEAM PHOTO on wednesday 5/29).  Click on the green "meet entry" link.  You will then see all swimmers in your household.  Click the blue "edit" button, and you can declare "attending" or "not attending".  Please make sure to click "Save".  It would be very helpful if we could get RSVP's for ALL meets.

That's all for now...so sorry for the long email.  A lot to cover the first few weeks...enjoy your weekend, and we'll see you at the pool Monday!

Kris, Jennifer, and Sarah
